Nabi Saleh’s weekly peaceful demonstration was confronted by brute Israeli force. The Israeli army rained the civilians with hundreds of gas canisters and metal coated rubber bullets, many of them suffocated as a result and Nariman Al Tamimi, a known Nabi Saleh activist had to be taken to the hospital as she is being treated now.

The weekly Friday demonstration in Nabi Saleh, led by the local popular committee was dedicated to Jerusalem (al-Quds) and the political prisoners. Marchers commemorated two martyrs who were killed this week, 16 years old Muhammad Sinokrot from Jerusalem, and Raed Ja’bari, a political prisoner who was beaten and tortured to death in an Israeli jail. The IOF attempted to suppress the march using barrages of tear gas and rubber coated steel bullets. No serious injuries reported.

On going demonstration since the morning ,as protestors raised the Palestinian flag and marched towards the Israeli [military] check point that blocks the only village entrance. Israeli forces used rubber coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters excessively on civilians resulting on two injuries.

The Israeli army violently suppressed the weekly Friday demonstration in the village of Nabi Saleh against the occupation and land theft. Locals, as well as solidarity activists, marched under the blazing sun from the village’s Martyrs’ Square towards the lands and the spring which were expropriated by Israel and are now being held by settlers from nearby Halamish.
The IOF fired barrages of tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets at demonstrators in an attempt to disperse them. No major injuries reported.

Activist on the ground in Nabi Saleh are reporting that Israeli Occupation Forces began firing teargas and rubber coated steel bullets at unarmed demonstrators five minutes after regular Friday demonstration started. According to activists the IOF fired 5 barrages of tear gas shot from an Israeli military jeep. At least two protester have been injured, one man has been shot with a rubber coated steel bullet in the leg and another person has been shot twice in the arm with rubber coated steel bullet.
