Israeli forces attacked the weekly protest in Nabi Saleh against the settlements and occupation and used teargas, rubber bullets, plastic coated steel bullets and stun grenades towards the peaceful protesters from the village including women and children.
Clashes erupted in the village between Israeli forces fully armed and youth throwing stones as a response to Israeli forces declaring the village a closed military zone and the brutal attacks the villagers have received from Israeli forces for the entire week including night raids and arrests and the constant blocking of the village’s main entrance.
The protest have also taken place against the recent excavation lead by Israelis in the area for underground water or gas which is considered another theft of land and Palestinian resources.
The popular resistance committee in Nabi Saleh (Intifada) called for a national strategy to the popular resistance in Palestine in order for the movement to grow and achieve its goals in liberating Palestine.
