An Israeli court on Tuesday sentenced a young Palestinian man to 20 months imprisonment after an Israeli soldier lost two teeth during clashes in 2012, the man’s father said.

Huthayfa Salameh, 19, was sentenced to serve jail time and fined 3,000 shekels ($819) by Israel’s Salem military court after allegedly taking part in clashes in Nabi Saleh on June 21, 2012, his father told Ma’an.

The fine was compensation for an Israeli soldier who lost two teeth during the clashes. Fourteen Palestinians were arrested during the incident.
